We have a beautiful building versus beautiful location dilemma.
This is gorgeous:
But it’s also ridiculously expensive, just for the garden unit. If you want a floor higher it’s an extra £200 a week. You also have to walk a bit to get to the supermarket, tube stop and restaurants.
On the other hand, there is this ugly 60’s era building:
It is right on the main street of Notting Hill, the grocery store is literally next door, and there’s a McDonalds downstairs in case I start craving a bit of America. The unit is an 11th floor duplex with a balcony and glorious views.
At least almost every flat in London has an in-unit washer/dryer. That solves one problem. (And it’s one appliance! It washes AND dries! Am I not supposed to be amused by this?)
